                                                          A SWEET MEMORY    I hosted my husband’s cousin and his family a month ago. Made some traditional sweets and as we were enjoying them, I mentioned how I had tasted those for the first time in my life.  It was almost 22 years back, while I was returning from India when my father-in-law came to drop us off at the airport. As I was hugging him for the one last time, he gave me a small box from a sweet store and said, “you would enjoy them.” I thanked him and kept it in my handbag though I never knew what it had. Never did I know in that moment that it would be the last time I would ever get sweets from him.  It was a long journey back.
